- [ ] 2.339 grams total weight - [ ] 10k solid yellow gold, marked and tested with NITON DXL precious metal analyzer - [ ] Outer diameter of earring measures 8.97mm- [ ] Seed pearls measure 1.27mm each- [ ] At some point in the early-mid 20th century these were converted to non pierced screw backs as pierced ears fell out of fashion- [ ] There is some non gold solder connecting the earrings to the screw backs. This was common during the Victorian period and less common in the early 20th century, but probably puts the date of conversion sometime during the Great Depression as during this period the cost of precious metals was very high and “new” jewelry was typically created by melting down and recycling jewelry already owned by the client. - [ ] These can be converted easily to studs for pierced ears by your local jeweler
