Mens SEIKO Sportsmatic 820 Calender 17 jewel Diashock Mechanical Set & Autowind

This is a mens Vintage SEIKO from 1965 known as a Sportsmatic Calender 820 with a 17 jewel, model 7526, Autowind Diashock Mechanical Set and Autowind movement. It starts with a stainless steel case in the round that measures 37mm in diameter, a large size wristwatch for 1965. The raised crystal is perfect and protects a very unique radiant silver dial that has developed a beautiful salmon rose gold colored patina. It has a raised chapter ring, a date window at the 3 and all steel raised markers. The movement, a 7625 was one of Seiko´s workhorse engines with all alloy metal parts, robust construction that was meant to last many lifetimes with proper servicing. This timepiece has had a recent service and keeps great time for a watch of its period. The bracelet, by Seiko is all stainless steel with gold trim with a double button on post Z-Deployment clasp. This combo will fit up to a 9 wrist. If not for its beautiful patina you would consider this vintage Seiko to look like new.
