It introduces 62 representative works with large-format photographs and sketches that retain the traces of his hand, as well as reprinting six essays by Uchii. These include Aiming for Healthy Architecture, which developed into the healthy architecture debate from the 1980s, all of which are imprinted on the times and question the present. Essays on Uchii include those by Takeshi Umehara, Hisao Koyama, and, as critical essays, Mitsuru Senda and Takuo Matsuoka, as well as Takao Hasegawa´s 250-page Between Architecture and Non-Architecture - A New Theory of Shozo Uchii. The collection thoroughly documents everything about Uchii, including an essay that examines the image of three generations of architects from his grandfather, Izo Kawamura. As an APPENDIX, it includes nine Icons of Shozo Uchii, conveying Uchii´s passionate feelings and soothing emotions. Commentary by Hisao Koyama. Shozo Uchii, who was called a prayerful architect, a court architect, and a social contribution architect, passed away suddenly on August 3, 2002. Six years later, in August, it returned as a collection of works that compiled his work. (Published August 2008)
